Hi, I’ve downloaded an image of a clay cutter with a centre cutter to make a hole. The hole/second cutter shows in the initial drawing, but then doesn’t come out int he design/cutter, am I doing something wrong or not got the correct setting? Thank you though for this fantastic facility.
It’s hard to know what might be going on without seeing it. Can you post the images you’re working with? Then I can fiddle with it and try to fix the issue.
Hi thank you for your reply, this is the png I upload:
but in the file it appears as black with a white centre (hole), not black and grey!!, and the initial drawing in cookiecad shows the centre hole, but when the cutter is generated, there isn’t a second blade for the hole. Is it me, am I doing something wrong?, I have second blade open? Also if I upload a reversed image, the generated cutter is back as the original and cadit doesn’t seem to have the facility to flip the image. Thank you for your help, I can’t tell you how much it helps/means
This is
image I get first off, but then when the cutter is generated it looks like this:
Is it something to do with the bar?
See this article on how to create a cutout cutter How to create a 3d printed doughnut cutter with center cut out using Cookiecad
Your image should work - just choose “imprint cutter” in the what to make box, then click “edges only” when making the cutter.
Thank you Nathan, that’s worked a treat
